Ingeniero Técnico en Agrícola (Esp. Ind. Agrarias y Alimentarias) en la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (ESPAÑA) - 2004

Ginés Benito Martínez Hernández es investigador (índice h 27) en el área de Tecnología de Alimentos de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT). Doctor en Técnicas Avanzadas en Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario (2012), ha realizado estancias pre y postdoctorales en instituciones como Texas A&M University (EE.UU., 2007-08), Institute of Food Research (Reino Unido, 2011) y Universitá degli studi di Foggia (Italia, 2013-15). Es autor de +70 artículos de investigación incluidos en el Journal of Citation Reports (JCR) y ha participado en +40 presentaciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales.

Sus principales líneas de investigación son la nanotecnología aplicada en sistemas avanzados de conservación y envasado de alimentos, desarrollo de nuevos alimentos y uso de tecnologías eco-sostenibles para obtener alimentos más sanos y seguros para el consumidor.

Es coordinador de las 6 Ediciones del "International on-line Course on Postharvest and Fresh-cut Technologies", donde se han titulado más de 1400 participantes de unos 80 países (https://www.upct.es/gpostref/). En la actualidad es miembro del comité editorial de la revista "ACS Food Science and Technology" de la American Chemical Society, y realiza regularmente evaluaciones de artículos para revistas incluidas en el Journal of Citation Reports. Forma parte del panel de expertos de evaluación de proyectos de la Comisión Europea para el programa Horizonte Europa 2021-2027.
