Evolution of core traffic for growing CDNs: Is the growth rate of core network traffic overestimated?

© 2017 Optical Society of America. The dramatic growth of user traffic will precipitate CDN expansion, both in capacity and new datacenter locations, the latter bringing content closer to the user. We investigate how this may partially alleviate core traffic growth.
