The objective of this paper is to study different approaches of the rotor-side converter controller for DFIG wind turbines.With this aim, a both mechanical and electrical model of wind turbines has been implemented under Matlab environment based on the well-known fifth-order dynamic model of induction machines. . The influence of the control compensation terms on the rotor dq-current components has been included as well, discussing and comparing the results under different operating points. In addition, and through the proposed DIFG model, computational time costs are provided as complementary information.
