Evaluation of a server-free VoD application in an in-building scenario

In this work we firstly evaluate the code-based scheme of the Push-to-Peer proposal in a HomePlug AV inbuilding scenario. For that, we propose a simplified model to simulate the variable capacity of the HomePlug AV network. This is an important difference respect to the original proposal, because in that work authors only consider a constant bandwidth among the peers. We also add a new connection type which is based in the establishment of Dijkstra multi-hop paths. The conclusion is that multi-hop paths are too fragile with the changing channels conditions. © 2009 IEEE.
