© 2014 IEEE.Surface plasmons (SPPs) supported by graphene cylindrical waveguides are investigated for the first time, and a rigorous dispersion relation is derived for the dominant mode. This relation reveals a fundamental connection between SPPs in carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets, which appear as limiting cases of plasmons in cylindrical waveguides. The proposed structure may find application in reconfigurable communication and sensing systems at THz.
