The efficient application of hybrid-heterogeneous parallelism to electromagnetic problems based on the integral equation (IE) technique is studied. Two problems with different computational costs and requiring computational systems of different types are considered. First, MPI+OpenMP+CUDA parallelism is used for the computation of Green's functions inside rectangular waveguides, with an important reduction of the execution time when the number of MPI processes, OpenMP threads and CUDA kernels is well selected. Second, the use of large cc-NUMA systems for computationally demanding software based on a Volumen Integral Equation (VIE) solved with the Method of Moments is studied. A high reduction of the execution time is obtained by combining two-level OpenMP parallelism with multithread linear algebra libraries. © 2013 EurAAP.
