Design of printed-circuit leaky-wave antennas integrated with high-gain substrate-superstrate configuration, was analyzed. The space Domain Green's functions for a multilayered parallel-plate waveguide were created and the method of moments was applied to find the leaky-wave complex solutions. It was found that the estimated elevation angle of maximum radiation and its beamwidth could be calculated from the phase and attenuation constants of the leaky-wave mode. The results show that the transverse transmission line analogy leads to a pair of resonance conditions to get maximum gain at a given radiation angle.
