Explicit solution for the diffraction of cylindrical waves by multiple knife edges based on the Vogler attenuation function

A new form to obtain a solution for the attenuation function for the diffraction of cylindrical waves by multiple edges with equal height and spacing is presented. In this special case, our method shows that the multiple knife-edge attenuation function proposed by Vogler may be rearranged in order to obtain a representation via Boersma's functions. The applicability of the result in modeling radio-wave propagation in urban environments is already known.
