In this contribution, a simple technique based on the analysis of thick wire elements is applied to the characterization of complex antennas exhibiting rotational symmetry. Results show that the technique allows to analyze accurately complex antennas of thick radius above 0.1¿, composed of cylindrical and conical elements. The value of the approach derived is in that it can substitute otherwise time consuming numerical techniques based on surface discretization, achieving similar degree of accuracy.
