- Main Researcher (IP) of Competitive Research Projects, for more than 20 years (from 2002): - International and European Projects, funded by European Commission: 3. - National Projects, funded by National Plan of R&D of Spain: 3 ; - Regional Projects, funded by Seneca Foundation (Science and Technology Agency, Murcia Region, Spain), and Fundación Instituto Euromediterráneo del Agua (Murcia, Spain): 3. Leadership of several R&D+i contracts. Collaboration with several research teams in the development of R&D projects.

- Position: Scientific Collaborator. General Deputy of Research Projects, Technical Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO, Spain). Leadership of Spanish participation in the ERA-Net CIRCLE-2 European Project (2012-2015).

- Member of International Scientific Committees. Position: Expert/Monitor, European Commission (27 appointments). Programmes: FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe (2012-2024).

- Member of National Committees. Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación (ANECA, Spain). Several appointments: - President and Academic Member of Committee, ACREDITA programme (accreditation of university degrees); - Expert of Commission; and - Area Evaluator (2014-2024).

- Coordinator of University Postgrade, UPCT. Design and implementation. Coordination and management. (2003-2010)

- Vice-Dean of Public Works. Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería Técnica Civil, UPCT. Participation in the design of Civil Engineering degree (White Book), for its adaptation to EEES (2002-2004).
