Professional experience in the field of water resources management and global change (+30 years), developed in different national and foreign institutions (public universities and industry).

Scientific leadership: In the period 2002-2022, she has obtained funding in 23 competitive public calls, being principal investigator in 21 of them. She has led relevant European, national and regional competitive projects. She has participated in the research team of many other European projects. She has published numerous articles, book chapters and conference papers (+100), in the field of Hydroinformatics. In 2006, she created the Water Resources Management R+D Group, and previously (2002) the Resources Management Laboratory (ELDI, UPCT). Visiting scientist at numerous centers of international prestige, such as the University of California-Irvine (USA), University of Tufts (USA), University of Nebraska (USA), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and IEA Litoral Institute for Advanced Studies (Argentina).

She has participated, and currently participates, in various international and national committees as an expert and monitor (EC FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, among others; +40 appointments). Scientific Collaborator of State Research Agency (MINECO; 2012-2015), leading the Spanish participation in the ERA-Net CIRCLE-2.

Entrepreneurship and technology transfer: She has been a founding partner, director and secretary of the Board of Directors of an UPCT spin-off company (with 20 % of the share capital), in the period 2012-2018. She has led numerous contracts with the Administration, and private companies. Professional experience in industries in the sector, for a period of 6 years (1995-2001).

Teaching and University leadership: She has promoted the creation of new degrees. She has coordinated master's and doctoral studies in the field of Water Resources Planning and Management. She has also carried out intensive tutoring of students, supporting young researchers through scholarships for initiation and specialization in research, and internships in companies. She has supervised 4 doctoral theses, and numerous master's and bachelor's theses. Additionally, she has collaborated with ANECA (National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency), in different programs and positions. She has held the academic position of Deputy Director of Public Works (2002-2004), promoting innovations in the design of the Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
