PhD in Doctor in Philology from University of Salamanca (SPAIN) - 1999

Natalia Carbajosa Palmero earned her PhD from the University of Salamanca in 1999 with a thesis that explored the language of Shakespeare's comedies from the perspective of theatrical pragmatics, part of whose conclusions were published in a volume in 2009. Since then, she has carried on research on different areas of Angloamerican contemporary poetry, and has published studies about the work of authors like H.D., Lorine Niedecker, Rae Armantrout, and the Beat Generation women poets.

As a poetry translator she has contributed with annotated bilingual editions of the above mentioned authors and others like Adrienne Rich, Dorothea Tanning, Kathleen Raine or Emily Fragos. A poet herself, she has several collections of poetry and a children's bilingual awarded volume. At present she is a member of an I+D project for the translation and study of T. S. Eliot's verse drama. She holds a webpage (http://nataliacarbajosa.es/) and a blog with articles about poetry and translation (https://www.jotdown.es/author/natalia/).
