PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Murcia (2002). His professional career began at the National Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work and after a brief stint in private business, he joined the University in 1995 to work as a technician in the Technological Instrumentation Service of SAIT- SACE. He has been Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the UPCT since 2005, where he has co-directed three doctoral theses and has been coordinator of the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (2008-2018). He has held the positions of Director of the Technological Research Support Service of the UPCT (2003-2018), Director of the Occupational Risk Prevention Service of the UPCT (2011-2018) and Manager of the UPCT since July 2018. Its main attributions are the economic and human resources management of Administration and Services Personnel, the support to the vice-chancellors and the organization of the activity of the University in relation to the 2030 Agenda. He participates annually as a speaker in congresses on PRL. Since 2018 he has been dedicated to management. In 2015 he was awarded the Antonio Ruiz Gimeno Award for his research work in Occupational Risk Prevention. He co-leads WP2 in EUT+ project. For the last ten years he has been researching about the possibility of using virtual reality techniques for research and training in different disciplines (Occupational Risk Prevention, Sustainable Development Goals, tourism...).
