Ángel Rafael Martínez Lorente is Decano de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Empresa

Graduate and doctor in CC. Economics and Business Studies from the University of Murcia. Professor of Business Organization at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) since 2009. Director of the Department of Business Economics at UPCT for 8 years. Vice Chancellor of Teaching Staff and Teaching Innovation at the UPCT for 3 years. Director of 3 national and 3 regional research projects. Supervisor of 7 doctoral theses. Visiting researcher for one year at the University of Manchester. Member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management. More than 40 articles published on quality management, having an H index greater than 30 and more than 5500 citations.

My field of research is quality management. I have worked on total quality management, on the ISO 9001 standard and on the EFQM excellence model. I am currently embarking on a new project on eco-innovation.

I am currently the dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences at UPCT.
